On the 30th of April, for just 6 hours, the Garden of cosmic speculation, based in Scotland, will be open for the public. This will be the only time this year that the garden will be open.

The Garden of Cosmic Speculation is a 30 acre sculpture garden created by landscape architect, Charles Jencks at his home, Portrack House, near Dumfries in South West Scotland.  The garden is inspired by modern cosmology. The fascinating thing about this garden is that it is only open to the public for six hours each year through Scotland’s Gardens Scheme and raises money for Maggie’s Centres, a cancer care charity named for Maggie Keswick Jencks, the late wife of Charles Jencks. During this time, thousands of people flood in to witness the beauty that this enormous garden contains.

The gardens are a sight to behold, with enormous structures used to represent many different branches in cosmology. It has been the subjects of many literary works, and is still breath-taking to see. This place is a definite must-see on any itinerary.

Pre-sales tickets can be purchased at http://portrack2017.eventbrite.co.uk. The entrance fee of £10.00 (concessions £5.00, children under 16 free) can also be paid at the gate.
